My First Blog Post

It all started in a conversation with my cousin Rodney. He’s the last person in the world that would eat “bar food,” but like all of us in the family, he’s a major foodie. Our grandmother, Augusta Barr, aka Barr Barr (pronounced Ba-Ba by her grandchildren) always taught us to stay close to your kin folk. With that in mind, Rodney and I talk probably once a week on average. In one of our conversations we were talking about what we were having for dinner. We got excited talking about roast chicken and chocolate cookies and cooking for yourself versus cooking for the kids, etc. In that conversation Rodney said, hey Kee (my nickname) we should have a family food blog. I was like, that’s a great idea! So here we are.
